Roles & Responsibilities

Additionally, they provide social skills training, speech and occupational therapy, educational therapy, and professional development for educators and parents. With a focus on personalized and evidence-based approaches, Bearie Learning Space ensures that each child receives the tailored support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and / or group therapy sessions to address academic challenges.
• Implement evidence-based academic interventions for students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
• Develop and teach executive functioning skills to help students improve organization, time management, and study strategies.
• Design and implement interventions focused on teaching children effective learning and academic strategies.
• Provide individual assessment, evaluation, therapy, and management of clients.
• Conduct school or home visits as required.
• Provide written reports, email feedback, goal planning sheets, and home programs.
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date, thorough, and legible documentation of each session with clients.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting therapeutic strategies as needed.
• Establish and maintain regular, good communication / rapport with caregivers and teachers.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
• Stay current with best practices and research in educational therapy and special education.
