About the role
To perform Planned Maintenance and non-scheduled repairs (Breakdowns) in a professional manner on Industrial Batteries in accordance with relevant Company procedures.Complete an average number of calls per day in line with the branch average. (target - minimum of 6 jobs per day)Achieve PM standard job and travel times.Maintain an accurate service diary / time sheet record of hours worked vs. hours paid. All hours worked must be recorded on a job report. There is to be no non-productive time.Follow and adhere to guide lines outlined in PMP Site Procedures and Methods.Carry out work in a safe manner and keep area clean and tidy according to the Company’s standards.Key Result Areas & Responsibilities
Workshop duties
Required to do other general workshop duties as and when required.Battery units in order of priority
To be co-ordinated by workshop supervisor.Maintain all Battery units within quoted hours given
Carry out all work within quoted time. 100% of time to be productive.Time Keeping & Service Job Cards
Complete all necessary Job Reports (SJC) and Planned Maintenance Inspection Reports in accordance with Service Job Card Procedure and Planned Maintenance Inspection Reports.Ensure all Service Job cards are submitted daily.Required to record all inventory on Service Job cards.Record non-inventory parts on job reports.Refer any problem Service Job Reports to Service Management for rectificationOccupational Health and Safety :
Comply with requirements outlined in Crown Service Occupational Health and Safety Program for Customer sites.Work in accordance with Company OH&S policies and adhere to customer site specific safety requirements, so as not to cause injury or damage to yourself or others.Practice manual handling techniques to reduce the risk of injury.Use correct PPE at all times and adhere to the TAKE FIVE procedure and cordon off your work area.Tooling / Equipment :
Maintain tools and equipment to the Company standard and to report any breakages or loss of tools to your Service Management representative.Service Van :Maintain service van condition to company standards.Ensure scheduled maintenance is carried out on the service van.Drive the van in a safe / courteous manner and in accordance with the local road rules.Inventory Management :
Replenish and maintain van inventory to the specific and appropriate levels.Participate in and conduct an accurate count at all defined stock-take.Participate and provide accurate daily cycle count data.Requirements

Possess good automotive qualificationsQualifications
Diploma in Automotive or Mechanical or Mechatronics
