Roles & Responsibilities
- Technical Review – Review architectural, consultants’, and all specialists’ drawings, layouts, and specifications. Ensure all M&E designs meet contractual requirements and comply with relevant local authority standards (BCA, PUB, SCDF, etc.).
- Design Coordination – Manage and integrate all M&E design works with architectural, structural, and other disciplines. Resolve design discrepancies with consultants and subcontractors to achieve a fully coordinated and buildable design. Ensure timely issuance of design and shop drawings in line with the project schedule and construction sequence.
- Technical Support and Problem Solving
- Provide technical support to the site team and resolve M&E design issues during construction. Ensure all installations comply with approved designs and statutory requirements. d. Statutory Approvals – Assist in the preparation and submission of M&E drawings / documents to relevant authorities for approvals, including Corenet X Gateways, Building Plan (BP), Works Permit (WP), Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP), and Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC).
- Documentation and Communication – Maintain proper records of design changes, site instructions (CVIs / RFIs / RFAs), and correspondences.
- Attend technical and design coordination meetings (internal and external), report outcomes, and ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Material and Sample Coordination – Support the construction team in preparing and obtaining approval for M&E materials and samples to ensure compliance with design specifications. g. BIM Coordination / VR Walkthrough – Utilize Revit, Navisworks, and Enscape to coordinate architectural, structural, and M&E models, identify clashes, and ensure consistency and accuracy in construction documents.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field. b. Minimum 3 years of experience as an M&E Design Coordinator or M&E Coordinator on Design & Build condominium projects with A1 main contractors.Strong understanding of M&E systems (ACMV, Electrical, ELV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Gas, Fire Protection, PWCS, Lift / Pool, etc.).Familiarity with Singapore authority codes and submission procedures (URA, BCA, NEA, PUB, SCDF, LTA, TFCC, EMA, etc.). e.
