What the role is
Sun Ray scheme is a leadership scheme administered by NCSS. The scheme aims to systematically groom and develop a core group of professionals with strong leadership qualities and a whole‑of‑sector perspective and capability. Sun Ray officers will be deployed and rotated across various social service agencies in leadership capacities.
As Director, Corporate Development and Services, you will play a pivotal role in driving the agency’s strategic growth, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability. This leadership position requires a dynamic individual with a strong blend of strategic vision and hands‑on execution skills. The ideal candidate will be a forward‑thinking leader with extensive experience in corporate management, financial oversight, and human resource development. You will lead a dedicated team and work closely with the Executive Director to advance the agency's mission and long‑term goals. What you will be working on
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Management
- Develop and execute visionary strategies aligned with the evolving external and internal landscape
- Identify emerging trends and needs, adapting structures and processes for enhanced effectiveness
- Foster collaboration and build partnership both within and outside the organisation
2. Financial Management
Lead and manage the finance function to meet statutory requirements, grantor expectations, and organisational goalsProvide guidance and financial analysis to ensure long‑term sustainability and sound financial healthPerform financial projections to maintain the financial well‑being of the organisation3. Human Resource Management
Oversee the full cycle of HR processes, from recruitment through to employee exit, including performance management, development, and compensationLead annual reviews of remuneration structures and ensure they align with sector standards and external benchmarksStrengthen organisational culture, fostering engagement and continuous learning4. Governance and Compliance
Ensure the organisation maintains a strong governance framework in line with all statutory regulationsImplement and oversee effective risk management strategiesMaintain compliance with IPC status and other regulatory requirements5. Communication and Partnerships
Oversee strategic communication and branding, including the creation of impactful content for press releases, newsletters, and social mediaCultivate and maintain long‑term relationships with partnersLead efforts to develop compelling proposals and secure grants6. Other Responsibilities
