Senior Tax Manager

• Manage and support tax compliance and advisory for the South East Asia (SEA) business, in aspects of corporate income tax, indirect taxes (e.g. Goods and Services Tax; Value Added Tax; Sales and Services Tax; withholding tax, etc) and transfer pricing
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Lazada's business operations to identify tax implications and provide strategic tax planning advice
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.
• Manage tax audits and conduct assessments, working closely with external advisors and tax authorities to resolve any inquiries or disputes
• Manage and ensure compliance with tax regulations in Singapore, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns and reports
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, providing guidance on potential impacts to the company and recommending appropriate actions
• Continuously improve company financial systems, processes and productivity, supporting tax compliance project initiatives, contributing significantly to the change and improvement

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a focus on taxation.
• Above 5-8 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in the e-commerce or technology industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Singapore tax laws and regulations, with a strong understanding of e-commerce tax implications.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them practically.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages relevant to the Southeast Asian market being a plus.
