Description
The ideal candidate has experience in both direct and indirect taxes for Singapore and possesses strong tax and accounting technical skills to work seamlessly together with colleagues in cross-functions (e.g., legal, finance etc.) to support our business teams to develop comprehensive and practical tax solutions.
This role is based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage tax matters to ensure compliance with tax legislations and regulations for the entities assigned. This includes managing tax forecast, quarterly tax provisions and local and year-end U.S. GAAP closing, including reviewing balance sheet reconciliation on all tax accounts and tax accounting.
- Manage direct and indirect tax compliance / reporting (GST, CIT, withholding tax, transfer pricing and any other external tax filings required for the country)
- Audit : lead local financial statement audit. This includes reviewing work papers prepare by service center and working with external auditor and ensuring that ensuring financials are signed off on a timely basis.
- Ensure Compliance : Consistently ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and tax laws. This includes accurately preparing financial statements, tax liabilities, tax returns, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
- Miscellaneous : Support tax team on tax queries / audits, including data preparation and review and ACAP, CTRM and other projects. Advise business on tax implications on various transactions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy relating to tax matters.
- The role could have opportunity to handle controller related (i.e., stewardship and governance) scope.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldsChartered Accountant with minimum 1-3 years of experience in tax matters with a passionate knowledge and proficiency in Singapore tax legislations.Added advantage for candidates with knowledge / proficiency in accounting regulations.Work experience in a multinational company or consultancy.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and a strong affinity in tax and accounting proficiencies.Ability to initiate, own and lead projects, and implement assignments in timelines, taking end to end accountability.About Us
