We are looking for a Procurement Manager or Assistant Manager to lead the procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials and consumables in support of our expanding operations. This is a hands‑on role focused on ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing of key materials such as APIs, excipients, and consumables.
The ideal candidate will bring direct experience from the pharmaceutical industry and a solid understanding of export logistics into the Asia region. You’ll help shape procurement operations while ensuring regulatory compliance, supply continuity, and strong vendor performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of APIs, excipients, and consumables, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and internal quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality materials at competitive terms.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and performance management processes.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Regulatory, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to align sourcing activities with operational and compliance needs.
- Support production timelines by ensuring materials are procured on schedule and meet required specifications.
- Work with logistics providers to manage export operations across the Asia region, ensuring proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and review shipping documents (e.g., COA, MSDS, commercial invoices, packing lists) in accordance with country‑specific requirements.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal SOPs, ethical sourcing policies, and relevant pharmaceutical regulations (e.g. HSA, PIC / S, ICH).
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement efficiency, cost control, and supplier reliability.
- Utilize digital procurement tools and maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related field. (CIPS or equivalent certification is a strong advantage)8–10 years of progressive experience in procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.Strong understanding of GMP, quality compliance, and regulatory standards in pharma procurement.Proven negotiation skills and experience with contract management.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.Seniority Level
