Job Descripiton

The Senior Planning Engineer is apivotal role within the Tender / Technical Department, responsiblefor developing, coordinating, and overseeing the detailed planningand scheduling of projects. This role demands a deep understandingof project management principles, superior analytical skills, and astrategic mindset to ensure project delivery within scope, time,and budget constraints. The Senior Planning Engineer will workclosely with various stakeholders, including project managers,engineers, clients, and contractors, to ensure that project plansare realistic, optimized, and aligned with organizationalgoals.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Project Planning andScheduling : Develop comprehensive project plans and schedulesthat

incorporate all project activities,milestones, and deliverables. Utilize projectmanagement

software to ensure accurate trackingand reporting.

  • Risk Management : Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategiesto
  • minimize impact on project timelines andbudgets.

  • Resource Allocation : Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, materials,and
  • equipment, ensuring that projects arecompleted within budgetary constraints.

  • Stakeholder Communication : providing regular updates onproject progress, poten al
  • challenges, and changesto project plans.

  • Quality Control : Ensure that project planning and execution adhere to industrystandards,
  • company policies, and clientspecifications, maintaining high quality and safetystandards.

  • Continuous Improvement : Analyze project outcomes and processes for lessons learnedand
  • opportunities for improvement in futureplanning and execution phases.

  • TeamLeadership : Lead and mentor junior planning engineers and otherproject staff, fostering a collaborative teamenvironment.
  • RequiredQualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, ora related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years ofexperience in project planning and management withinthe
  • construction or engineeringindustry.

  • Proficiency in project managementsoftware (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, poweroint).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, constructionmethodologies, and project
  • management bestpractices.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational,and problem-solving skills.
