Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Cyber Maintenance Engineer to join our cybersecurity operations team. This role focuses on maintaining and supporting various cybersecurity and network security products in customer environments. You will be responsible for performing regular maintenance tasks such as patching, firmware upgrades, health checks, and basic troubleshooting, as well as handling onsite support within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
This position suits candidates who are keen to build a career in cybersecurity operations and maintenance, with exposure to a wide range of security technologies such as Carbon Black, CyberArk, Splunk, Kiwi Syslog, RSA, and firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, FortiGate) .
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular maintenance activities such as :
- Firmware and software patching for security appliances and agents (e.g., Carbon Black, firewalls).
- System health checks and performance validation.
- Reading log and alert for basic issues or anomalies.
- Provide L1–L2 troubleshooting for cybersecurity and network devices.
- Attend onsite support based on SLA requirements (e.g., 2-hour or 4-hour onsite response).
- Participate in 24x7 standby duty (typically 1 week per month) to handle support calls and escalations.
Support customer operations tasks such as :
CyberArk account creation or access requests.Device and system configuration validation.Report generation and documentation updates.Communicate and plan with customers for corrective and preventive maintenance (CPM) tasks, including :
Coordinating maintenance windows and system downtime.Preparing and submitting Method of Procedure (MOP) documents for approval.Executing maintenance activities according to approved plans.Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or product specialists.Maintain accurate records of incidents, changes, and maintenance activities.Comply with customer and company security policies and operational procedures.Requirements
Education & Experience :
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.1–2 years of relevant IT support or maintenance experience (fresh graduates with internship experience will be considered).Technical Skills (any of the following is advantageous) :
Basic knowledge of security or infrastructure products such as :
Endpoint security (e.g., Carbon Black, Antivirus, or similar)Privileged Access Management (CyberArk)Firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, FortiGate)Log management systems (Splunk, Kiwi Syslog)Multifactor Authentication (RSA)Understanding of TCP / IP networking, Windows and Linux OS fundamentals.Familiar with patching processes and monitoring tools.Soft Skills :
Strong communication and customer-handling skills.Able to plan and coordinate technical activities with customers.Responsible, proactive, and able to self-learn new products and technologies.Willing to work under SLA-driven environments.Able to work independently and as part of a rotating support team..Other Details
