Role Overview
As a Senior Credit Risk Officer specializing in Foreign Exchange (FX) products, you'll play a pivotal role in assessing, monitoring, and mitigating credit risk exposure across complex FX transactions. Your expertise will support risk strategies related to spot trades, forwards, swaps, options, and derivatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate counterparty creditworthiness across FX transactions including hedging, spot, swap, options, and structured derivatives.
- Develop and implement credit risk models to quantify exposure and identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with front office, legal, and compliance teams to structure and review FX contracts.
- Conduct risk assessments on new products or counterparties, particularly in volatile FX markets.
- Monitor credit exposures in real-time and escalate any breaches or emerging risks.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on FX credit risk trends, limits, and stress testing outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) regulations and international risk standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s in finance, economics, or a related degree.Minimum of 5 years' experience in credit risk within FX or derivatives markets.Strong knowledge of FX products and risk analytics tools (e.g. Bloomberg, Murex, or equivalent platforms).Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Singapore MAS Guidelines.Experience in stress testing, scenario analysis, and portfolio risk modelling.Tell employers what skills you have
