Mechanical Engineer (Singaporean & PR)

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description :

• Responsible for the upkeep, repair, and improvement of mechanical systems and equipment. This role ensures optimal functioning of machinery to minimize downtime and increase efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment (e.g., pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, HVAC, etc.).
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports, and logs in line with standard operating procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate with maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure analysis of critical and non-critical breakdowns.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with Procurement for ordering.
• Assist in planning and executing plant shutdowns and overhauls.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
