Roles & Responsibilities

The IT Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering all Information Technology and Communication systems within facilities and construction projects. This role ensures that IT infrastructure is designed, implemented, and fully integrated into the facility’s operational and business requirements, working closely with construction teams, facility managers, and IT vendors.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers to integrate IT and communication requirements into facility and construction plans.
  • Define IT infrastructure scope including structured cabling, server rooms, networks, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, audio visual systems, and related technologies.
  • Align IT project milestones with facilities development and construction timelines to ensure readiness for operations.
  • Manage vendor selection, procurement, and installation of IT systems in compliance with organizational and facility standards.
  • Coordinate with facility operations teams to ensure IT systems support both day-to-day operations and long-term facility management.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of IT infrastructure prior to facility opening or upgrade completion.
  • Ensure IT systems integrate with facility management or smart building systems where applicable.
  • Manage IT-related budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as the single point of contact for IT during facilities and construction projects.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Proven experience in IT project management within facilities, construction, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networking, servers, cabling) and building / facility systems integration.
  • Familiarity with facilities standards, compliance requirements, and smart building technologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Project management certification (PMP / Prince2) preferred.
