Job Summary
As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the back-of-house by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in all kitchens, dishwashing, and service areas. You will lead and support the stewarding team to deliver excellence, safeguard hygiene standards, and provide reliable support to the culinary and food & beverage teams.
What you will be doing
- Supervise and coordinate daily stewarding operations including dishwashing, pot-washing, kitchen cleaning, and waste management.
- Ensure sufficient and hygienically cleaned chinaware, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment are available to support all F&B operations.
- Uphold and enforce hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards across all kitchens and back-of-house areas.
- Train, guide, and motivate stewarding team members, promoting teamwork and a positive work culture.
- Monitor the proper use and safe handling of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment.
- Maintain inventory of stewarding supplies and ensure all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Assist with event and banquet operations, ensuring setup and support are delivered smoothly.
- Prepare shift schedules, supervise attendance, and ensure grooming standards of the stewarding team.
Your experience and skills include
Minimum 2 years of stewarding experience in a luxury hotel or resort, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation practices, and HACCP compliance.Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a multicultural team.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.Physically fit, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Tell employers what skills you have
