Role Profile
The Manager, Information Technology (Cloud Security and Collaboration) is responsible for leading and managing security across Microsoft 365 services, identity protection, email security, and cloud platform governance. With a focus on strengthening the security of collaboration tools, coordinating threat detection and response, and overseeing configurations in Azure and AWS, this role drives these initiatives across the entire global organization. The role will work closely with regional IT heads and key business stakeholders to ensure alignment, compliance, and consistent implementation of security standards. In addition, the manager will liaise with core infrastructure and data security teams, as well as external cloud service vendors, to ensure cohesive collaboration and end-to-end visibility across security domains.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the secure configuration, management, and optimization of Azure & Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Defender
- Oversee identity protection strategies, including Azure and Hybrid AD, Conditional Access, MFA, and Entra ID governance
- Monitor and review the security alerts, drive down threat hunting, analysis, and mitigation activities across cloud and collaboration platforms
- Manage enterprise email security systems, primarily Mimecast, ensuring effective policy enforcement, phishing defense, monitoring and mitigation
- Provide oversight on cloud platform security configurations in Azure and AWS, focusing on IAM, access controls, and threat monitoring
- Act as the lead for collaboration security operations, interfacing with infrastructure and cloud vendors as needed
- Ensure documentation, SOPs, and security standards are maintained and shared across internal teams
- Perform periodic risk assessments, support audits, and drive remediation and compliance efforts
- Manage cloud infrastructure budgets and optimize costs through effective resource management and cost-saving initiatives. Analyse cloud spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising performance or security
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement, evaluate new tools and services, and drive innovation to enhance the company's cloud infrastructure. Participate actively in and lead talent development for the division / department to meet both current and future needs
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies. Implement governance frameworks to manage cloud resources effectively. Drive the adoption of IT operating and security policies, manage customer expectations, and ensure all processes meet security and regulatory requirements
Experience and Skills
Minimum 5 years of IT security or cloud operations experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead roleStrong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and cloud security practicesIn-depth knowledge of Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA, Microsoft Defender, and identity governanceHands-on experience with email security platforms (preferably Mimecast)Familiarity with Azure and AWS platform security (IAM, roles, alerts, access management)Proven ability to lead threat response and collaborate with cross-regional IT teamsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressureExcellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, including business-facing engagement across regionsRelevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, CISSP, or CCSP are a plusTell employers what skills you have
