Summary / Objective
Essential Functions
- Familiar with the classification rules for the assigned vessels.
- Priority to maintain the assigned vessels operationally ready and required technical standard at all times.
- Maintain the assigned ships in compliances to rules, regulations and requirements of the, flag state and other national states classification oil terminals
- Manage effectively any vessel downtime to expedite to operational status.
- Monitor and take prompt appropriate actions as applicable to improve the assigned vessels performance for efficient operation management Fuel management Budget control Company’s planned maintenance system
- Follow up and close out within the due dates, the audited non-conformances and observation as documented in the reports.
- Review and evaluate crew performance.
- Plan in ample time and attend to the assigned ships periodical and occasional docking
- Attend to and follow up to close up any requirements on ship matters relating to third party claims.
- Collaborate with HSSE team in incident investigation and work closely complete the investigation report.
- Provide feedback during the Company schedule meetings on the above performed tasks.
- Assist as is required to support the functions of the other departments.
- Work in a responsible and harmonious attitude.
Required Requirements and Educations
Diploma in Engineering. Recognized degree in Maritime Studies or relevant qualification Seagoing experience is an added advantage Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position Willing to undertake short overseas assignment Demonstrated capability in difficult negotiation Proficient in MS OfficeChan Chee Meng
