Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that products are optimally displayed and stocked in stores to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with store personnel, monitoring and analysing competitor activities, and ensuring the effective execution of promotional activities. The Merchandiser will also support various events, maintain store counters, and perform stock take activities as required.

Details of the key responsibilities as follow:

1. Develop and maintain effective relationships with store managers and staff, gathering feedback to guide product strategies.

2. Ensure products are well-displayed and adequately stocked, manage stock rotation, and remove near-expired items following FIFO practices.

3. Monitor and report on competitor activities and pricing.

4. Effectively communicate operational issues with superiors.

5. Secure additional free display space for products.

6. Assist with the setup, tear down, and support of events and promotions.

7. Ensure correct display of price tags and set up promotional materials for each promotional cycle.

8. Keep the counter area clean and tidy.

9. Participate in stock-taking activities.

10. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the company.

Job Requirements

1. Must possess a motorbike and a valid riding license.

2. Demonstrates a positive attitude, outgoing nature, and cheerful disposition; comfortable interacting with people from various backgrounds.

3. Excellent verbal/written communication; strong interpersonal skills; effective negotiator.

4. Meticulous with product displays and stock levels; ensures correct promotional setups.

5. Efficient multitasking; plans and executes events and displays.

6. Gathers/interprets feedback; monitors competitors.

7. Proactive in resolving display and stock issues; handles unexpected challenges.

8. Performs demanding tasks; can stand for long periods and lift items.

9. Willing to work flexible hours; adaptable to changing tasks.

Working Hours

5-day work week (9.30am to 7.00pm) which may include weekends depending on operational requirements

Salary Package

Basic ($1800 to $2400 depending on skills and working experiences) + Incentives
