Job descriptionPrepare and revise Fire Plan (FP) system layout drawings and Building Plan (BP) drawings. Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical plans to coordinate fire protection systems. Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and include all details needed for construction or manufacturing. Use CAD software to create and edit drawings. Ensure all drawings comply with local codes and standards (e.g., NFPA) and meet client requirements. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to reflect the correct design intent. Maintain drawing documentation and assist with submissions to relevant authorities. Make revisions based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). Review and update drawings to meet project standards and requirements. Stay updated on building codes, industry standards, and materials. Provide technical support and help solve issues during construction or manufacturing. Organize and manage all drawing files and project documents. Communicate clearly with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Experience as a drafter in the fire protection industry is an advantage. Diploma or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD software. Understanding of fire codes (e.g., NFPA and SCDF local fire safety regulations). Attention to detail; able to work independently and as part of a team.
