Assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly / quarterly variance analysis, cash flow projections, and annual budgets.
Provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support decision – making across the organization.
Must be proficient in preparing consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the preparation of financial and management reports for the group in accordance with group accounting policies
Manage month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
Project Accounting : Monitor and manage financial aspects of construction projects, including job costing, budgeting and forecasting. Track project expenses, revenue recognition, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.
Cost Control & Budgeting : Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, cost control measures, and variance analysis to ensure projects remain on budget and within financial guidelines.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of GST and other statutory filings.
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing training, guidance, and performance support.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency in finance operations.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing of accounts, year-end closing, management reporting and financial analysis
Prepare and analyze management reports for the group and its entities.
Manage daily banking operations to ensure smooth financial transactions.
Liaise with bankers on financing, treasury, and risk management matters.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and perform analyses for management.
Collaborate with relevant departments to gather and analyze data for project costs, revenue, and balance sheet accounts.
Ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor reconciliations, and vendor payments.
Provide financial and operational support to the finance team and subsidiaries.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders as required.
Handle any other duties assigned, including special projects and management requests.
Requirements
Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
Experience in handling full set of accounts
Must have at least 3 years' experience in construction / real estate industry is a plus
Self motivated, results oriented and multi-task
Familiar with Accpac Accounting software preferred
Meticulous with a flair for figures, independent & organized, team player, with initiative & resourceful
Great working attitude and being able to work well in a team
