Roles & Responsibilities

Insurance Brokers Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Insurance Brokers Manager to spearhead growth and profitability through strong broker partnerships. This role offers the opportunity to combine underwriting expertise, business development, and portfolio management to drive success in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance market.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and grow profitable business through broker channels, ensuring sustainable portfolio development.
Underwrite Property & Casualty classes with a strong focus on risk assessment and profitability.
Develop, manage, and enhance broker facilities to optimize business opportunities.
Build, strengthen, and maintain long-term relationships with brokers to maximize market reach.
Conduct quality assurance reviews and provide guidance / training to junior team members.
Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in departmental processes.
Ensure strict compliance with underwriting, credit control, and regulatory policies.
Deliver on strategic business targets and support organizational objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

Tertiary qualification and / or professional insurance qualifications.

Mandatory certifications in General Insurance (minimum BCP & CGI).

3–5 years of relevant experience in the general insurance industry, with a strong focus on Property & Casualty.

Solid understanding of underwriting, risk assessment, and portfolio management.

Skills & Competencies

Proven ability in business development and broker management.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Demonstrated leadership with the ability to mentor and support junior staff.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Commercial acumen with experience in marketing and portfolio growth.
