About the Role
A leading global pharmaceutical organization is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Microbiologist to join its Quality Control – Microbiology team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance through microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and method validation.
Key Responsibilities
Microbiological Testing & Monitoring
- Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Conduct environmental monitoring of cleanrooms, utilities, and production areas
- Carry out microbial identification, endotoxin testing, bioburden testing, and sterility testing
Laboratory Operations & Compliance
Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with SOPsEnsure accurate and complete documentation in compliance with cGMP standardsSupport validation and qualification of microbiological methods and equipmentQuality & Safety Assurance
Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, and audit readinessEnsure compliance with EHS and biosafety standards in all laboratory activitiesAssist in training new staff on microbiological techniques and proceduresContinuous Improvement & Collaboration
Contribute to laboratory performance metrics and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and resolve microbiological issuesQualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field1–3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory, preferably in a GMP environmentFamiliarity with microbiological techniques and regulatory guidelines (e.g., USP, EP, FDA, ICH)Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skillsPreferred Skills
Experience with LIMS and electronic documentation systemsKnowledge of aseptic techniques and cleanroom behaviourUnderstanding of ISO standards and environmental monitoring programs.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified
