About the Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic Broker to manage and develop a portfolio of sellers, oversee account conversions, and ensure client communication and satisfaction. Proven experience in Account Management or Sales, preferably in a marketplace environment, and a degree in business, commerce, or marketing are highly regarded.

The key purpose of the Broker is to support Flippa’s high-value buyers ($100k - $1M) in Singapore to acquire assets by leveraging a worldwide network of businesses looking to buy and sell.

This position will start as a six-month contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role as we expand in APAC. You will report directly to the Regional Director, APAC, and be based in Singapore.

As a Broker, you will :

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities ($100k - $1M), sourcing qualified sellers, understanding their business models, and positioning the platform as the ideal exit strategy.
  • Prospect potential clients, arrange meetings, and showcase the platform's value proposition through outreach strategies.
  • Cultivate relationships with the buy-side community, building trust with repeat buyers, institutional investors, and strategic acquirers.
  • Develop marketing materials with marketing and design teams to articulate our expertise and services.
  • Assist team members in presenting proposals and negotiating transaction terms, supporting internal collaboration.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene using tools like HubSpot to track leads and interactions.
  • Act as the primary Broker for a portfolio of sellers, providing support from onboarding to deal closure.
  • Engage with buyers, understand their needs, and facilitate acquisitions.
  • Manage listings for existing sellers, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
  • Provide strategic advice during transactions to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Conduct valuation analysis of client P&Ls and metrics, considering market benchmarks.
  • Support management of legal documents like LOIs, APAs, and SPAs, ensuring timely sharing and understanding.
  • Lead post-transaction feedback sessions to refine strategies.
  • Travel as required to meet with clients, host meetups, webinars, and attend conferences.
  • Perform ad hoc duties aligned with company objectives.

To be successful, you will have :

  • At least 2 years of experience in M&A, brokering, or sales.
  • Experience in business development / outbound sales is preferred.
  • Experience in business analysis and process improvement is a plus.
  • Background in marketplace environments or digital asset sales is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of small business sales environments is beneficial.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or marketing is highly regarded.
  • Strong relationship-building skills over the phone and in person.
  • Results-oriented, independent, and organized.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
  • Adaptive to market changes and proactive in seizing opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with profitability awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Motivated team player with good analytical skills.
  • Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • A strong work ethic and interest in startup culture and digital products.
  • Bilingual in English and Hindi.
  • Measures of success include :

  • Service quality and Total Transaction Value (TTV).
  • Conversion rate of managed accounts to sales, communication volume, and client satisfaction.
