Job descriptionA medical degree recognised by Singapore Medical Council (SMC ) Please check your eligibility on the SMC website before applying Full registration with SMC, or be eligible for conditional registration. You can check Conditional Registration eligibility criteria online Possess at least 3 years of post-housemanship working experience as a Medical Officer (or equivalent) Experience in family medicine, geriatric medicine, or rehabilitation medicine preferred but not a prerequisite, or have a keen interest in these disciplines Possess post-graduate diploma or degree would be an advantage Currently be in active clinical practice Team player with a passion for caring for the elderly, good bedside manner and patience Positive mindset, collaborative and willing to go the extra mile Good interpersonal and communication skills
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Resident Physician at Ang Mo Kio - Thye Hua Kwan Hospital (AMK-THKH), you will be a part of a dedicated team of Medical Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, and Medical Social Workers, and work under the supervision of senior doctors to provide first-line clinical coverage to patients admitted to our community hospital for rehabilitation or subacute care.
Responsibilities :
- Conducting ward rounds and handling acute medical issues
- Clerking new patients and preparing discharge summaries
- Performing ward procedures and staying on-call during night shifts
- Involving in Quality improvement projects
- Participate in patient care conferences, unplanned discharge rounds, mortality and morbidity rounds, and multidisciplinary rounds
