Job Summary
This 24-month structured Career Development Program develops technical specialists in marine operations through hands-on training and sponsored professional certification, preparing candidates for independent operational roles onboard vessels and eventual full Operations Officer positions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate marine fuel transfer operations following industry standards to ensure safe and efficient procedures
- Prepare and execute accurate technical documentation and inventory reports to maintain operational records
- Follow strict safety and environmental protocols during shipboard assignments to protect personnel and the environment
- Work on a rotational schedule (e.g., 3 days onboard / 3 days shore leave) to meet vessel operational requirements
- Complete sponsored external training and achieve industry certifications such as SS 648 and SS 600 under Senior Officers’ mentorship
- Perform operational functions independently as a Junior Officer after successful assessment and certification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or technical certification in a relevant field is advantageous
- Strong interest in maritime logistics and shipboard operations
- Ability to work effectively in a maritime field environment and perform shipboard operational tasks
- Ability to manage detailed documentation and follow complex safety manuals accurately
- Commitment to complete the 24-month training and service bond
