Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Liaise directly with SME clients to understand their business structure and accounting needs
  • Collect and review essential documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements, expense logs, payroll records)
  • Provide basic training to clients on organizing financial records
  • Educate clients on accounting best practices, deadlines (e.g. GST, ACRA filing), and compliance risks
  • Use accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) or coordinate with external bookkeepers to ensure timely entries
  • Track and maintain up-to-date ledgers, bank reconciliations, and financial statements for each client
  • Ensure monthly / quarterly closing schedules are adhered to
  • Contribute to the development of SOPs and service workflows for the accounting team

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Basic understanding of Singapore’s regulatory framework (IRAS, ACRA) and SME filing requirements
  • Fresh graduates with internship experience in audit / accounting firms are welcome

    • Experience

  • 1–3 years in accounting, audit, or bookkeeping (preferred)
  • Client-facing experience or B2B liaison experience is a strong advantage
  • Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or other accounting platforms is preferred

    • Soft Skills

  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to explain accounting terms to non-finance clients in plain English
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple client accounts independently
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and process-oriented
  • Enjoys solving problems and building systems from scratch
