MojiaBio is seeking highly motivated scientists with a
background in Biofoundry, Automation and AI at our R&D
headquarters located in Shanghai. The ideal candidates will play
key roles on the use of state-of-the-art synthetic biology
approaches to develop and improve our chemical manufacturing
platforms. The positions will be tasked with the design and
construction of novel biocatalysts (enzymes, pathways, microbial
cells), developing and carrying out both classical and advanced
genetic, pathway and metabolic engineering strategies to improve
biocatalytic performance. The scientists will be part of MojiaBio's
Synthetic Biology (SynBio) team and will work closely with members
of the fermentation, bioconversion and process engineering
teams.
Responsibilities :
Design and execute automated workflows to engineer and optimize
microbial strains for enhanced bioproduction.
Utilize advanced genetic engineering techniques to modify and
improve cellular characteristics for high-throughput strain
engineering.
platforms and robotic systems to streamline strain engineering
processes.
constructs or microbial strains and perform high-throughput
screening to identify top-performing variants.
Utilize data analysis tools and AI-driven approaches to interpret
large datasets generated from high-throughput screenings to
identify key strain candidates.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop methods, collect
results, and assure quality of results.

Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering,
Biological Engineering, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
Preferably with 3 years of experience working in metabolic
engineering in industrial settings or a similar environment. MSc
with significant relevant experience will be
considered.
