You will be responsible for architecting, validating, and demonstrating Groundup.ai solutions for enterprise and government customers. Your position as a competent and strategic adviser will deepen confidence in the technical feasibility, reliability, and business value of our proposals.
You will work across early discovery, solution design, technical documentation, Proof‑of‑concept configuration, and post‑sales transition — acting as the technical anchor for all customer engagements. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and expansion by driving maintenance operational excellence and enhancing their reliability programs.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Design
- Translate customer challenges into clear, actionable requirements and design innovative solutions.
- Analyse operational requirements and translate them into robust architectural and technical designs.
- Architect full‑stack IoT / ICT solutions, spanning hardware, networks, cloud, integrations, dashboards, and AI models.
- Create solution blueprints, system design documents, and integration diagrams for each opportunity.
- Validate designs with Engineering and Delivery teams to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
- Ensure designed solutions meet regulatory, cybersecurity, and compliance standards (ISO, CTM, etc.).
Customer Discovery & Technical Advisory
Serve as a primary technical and strategic advisor to customers and internal sales teams, guiding them through the adoption of our cutting‑edge technologies.Lead technical discovery meetings with enterprise clients, government agencies, and channel partners.Proactively engage and lead workshops or discussions with client engineering and IT teams to understand existing systems, data pipelines, and maintenance processes.Advise customers on optimal solution pathways using a mix of internal products and relevant third‑party technologies.Deliver product demonstrations, technical walkthroughs, and solution workshops.Configure PoCs and pilot environments, showcasing real‑world capability and customer‑specific value.Conduct technical demonstrations and lead the Proof of Value (POV) phase to ensure rapid validation of our capabilities.Tender & Proposal Ownership
Produce high‑quality technical proposals, solution blueprints, and tender documentation.Translate complex technical details into clear value propositions for procurement, engineering, and C‑suite stakeholders.Create reusable templates for future tenders to improve efficiency and consistency.Deployment & Implementation
Oversee technical deployment from pilot to full‑scale rollout, ensuring the solution delivers the intended performance metrics (e.g., uptime improvement, maintenance cost reduction).Guide the technical direction of projects, ensuring they meet customer expectations and adhere to best practices.Collaborate with IoT Engineers to guide sensor installation, data ingestion, API integration, and model deployment.Establish and document deployment best practices, including security, data governance, and scalability requirements.Serve as the primary technical authority on‑site, resolving architecture‑level challenges during deployment.Cross‑Functional Enablement
Act as the bridge between engineering and sales, translating customer requirements into clear product feature requests and deployment feedback loops.Mentor and enable IoT Engineers and regional partners on architecture standards, integration frameworks, and deployment SOPs.Work closely with the Product team to evolve platform architecture and interoperability with client systems.Work closely with Business Development to shape opportunities from the earliest stages.Partner with Engineering, Delivery, and Customer Success to ensure smooth handover and implementation.Customer Success & Expansion
Help customers navigate digital transformation and overcome hesitations by quantifying the cost of inaction versus the cost of implementation.Provide context and technical insights to Customer Success to help articulate business value.Support Customer Success Managers to identify opportunities for product expansion or deeper integration.Function as a trusted technical advisor for strategic customers, guiding their journey from predictive to cognitive maintenance maturity.Work closely with sales and customer success teams to ensure seamless value delivery and maximize market opportunities.Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in a Technical Pre‑Sales or Solution Architect role in an ICT or IoT environment.Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with a business‑driven mindset and a strong sense of ownership.Strong technical experience in IoT / ICT systems, networking, cloud services, and system integration.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineers and business leaders.Excellent documentation, solution architecture, and presentation skills.Travel regularly across APAC and the Middle East to support customer engagements, solution workshops, and partner activities.Experience collaborating across BD, Engineering, Delivery, and Customer Success teams.Ability to excel in a fast‑paced environment, learning rapidly and independently.Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.Strong organizational and time‑management skills.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Automation, Industrial Technology, or a related field.Bonus Requirements
Experience with Industrial IoT Ecosystems
Hands‑on experience in architecting or deploying IoT, predictive maintenance, or industrial digitalization solutions is a strong advantage.Experience with condition monitoring or vibration analysis.Familiarity with MQTT, OPC‑UA, Modbus, BACnet, CANbus, or industrial gateways.Experience deploying IoT sensors, edge devices, or industrial controllers in real environments.Expertise in real‑time monitoring and automation controls.Proficiency in data integration and analysis, with knowledge of metrics like MTBF, MTTR, and MTTA.Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to our products.Experience within manufacturing environments, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence within the industry.Exposure to Predictive Maintenance or Condition Monitoring
Professional experience with Predictive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring solutions.Understanding of vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermal monitoring, or related domains.Experience mapping asset failure patterns to technical solutions.Familiarity with AI / ML Concepts
Ability to explain the business value of AI outputs to non‑technical customers.Understanding of how predictive models work (For example, regression, anomaly detection, supervised vs unsupervised learning).Cloud, DevOps & Architecture Knowledge
Ability to read or draft simple architecture diagrams using tools like Draw.io, LucidChart, or Visio.Hands‑on knowledge with AWS, Azure, or GCP IoT services.Basic familiarity with CI / CD, Docker, or Kubernetes.System Integration Experience
Experience integrating 3rd‑party tools (SCADA, MES, ERP, CMMS, API‑based services).Familiarity with REST APIs, Webhooks, or similar technologies.Regional Exposure
