Roles & Responsibilities

About the Job

The Building Trades General Foremen cum WSH Coordinator will be responsible for the supervision of activities & reinforcement of the work / project site's safety, health and environment management. He / She is required to control & coordinate with the team onsite. Support the project to ensure that all works are carried out safely and in accordance to legal and CAG requirements.

Responsibilities :

• Interpreting specifications and job orders and determine the sequence of operations and use of equipment
• Oversee the project activities and progress, plan, implement and monitor work
• Estimating manpower requirements, supervise and assign duties to workers
• Coordinate, analyse and resolve work problems
• Work closely with and assist Project Manager on the smooth day to day running of site
• Reporting accidents and incidents to a manager
• Responsible for the reinforcement of workplace safety, health and environment programs and initiatives
• Responsible for the enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act
• Responsible for ensuring strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises.
• Responsible for the preparation and / or submission of safety reports and necessary audits
• Required to assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and execution of safety programmes
• Required to prepare permit to work and risk assessment c / w pre-task plan
• Required to prepare materials for critical works and present to the customer for approval
• To perform any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time
