Business Analyst - (Public Sector)

Overview

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Business Analyst to be part of our team. You will be assigned to a Singapore Government project, where you’ll work directly with stakeholders to shape digital solutions that make a real impact on citizens’ lives. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to large-scale IT projects in the public sector, while sharpening your skills in business analysis, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery. Candidates with public sector experience are preferred, as this role supports IT projects for government agencies.

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

• Work closely with government stakeholders to understand needs, gather requirements, prioritise needs, and translate them into clear deliverables.
• Document user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams.
• Analyse business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements for efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Analyse the impact of the requested changes and identify key success factors, metrics, and dashboards for monitoring.

Design and Visualisation:

• Draw wireframes to visualise websites and applications based on stakeholder requirements.
• Ensure proposed designs align with business goals and user expectations.

Collaboration and Delivery:

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and QA testers to ensure requirements are delivered as intended.
• Act as the bridge between business users and technical teams to ensure smooth communication and project success.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions against requirements.
• Document results and work with teams to address issues before release.

Requirements

Must have:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in IT or digital projects.
• End-to-end experience delivering and maintaining software.
• Experience in requirements gathering, workshop, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to adapt in different business sectors.
• Familiarity with wireframing and design tools such as Figma.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Singapore Government Project will be advantageous.
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Product Management, or related fields.
• Knowledge of UML (BPMN, ERD, State-Transition Flow).
• Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
• Experience in large-scale digital projects
• Familiarity with product management frameworks and tools (Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience as a Software Developer or equivalent.
• Experience with a content management system/website project.
