Role & Responsibilities
- Identify and assess individual therapy needs of clients using appropriate assessment tools and assessment forms.
- Facilitate development of appropriate and effective tools for identification, assessment, intervention.
- Formulate and implement individual / group therapy programmes for clients with speech and language disorder, social communication difficulties, dyslexia, autism, ADHD, etc.
- Provide intervention for clients on a one-to-one basis, group, class, work experience or special setting based on the needs of the students.
- Evaluate and document clients' therapy needs and progress regularly, and review the effectiveness of the intervention.
- Provide consultation and update clients’ status to relevant staff members and caregivers.
- Work in collaboration with teaching / non-teaching staff and family / caregivers for the effective enhancement of services.
- Provide written report, case notes about the assessments that have been undertaken and possible speech and language therapy recommendations.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Speech & Language Pathology / Speech Therapy recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), SingaporeMinimum 3 years’ speech language pathology experience or prior working experience in a special education setting will be an added advantageKnowledge and experience in working with children with special needs and a wide range of disabilities.Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced work environmentGood communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsHigh standard of report writingAble to work on SaturdaysTell employers what skills you have
