Class 4 Driver (24-foot truck)

Job Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing safe transportation of cargo between sites and to observe all safety rules on the roads and within the warehouse. Additionally, this position should also support general tasks in the warehouse when there are no trips available.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct SKU check and Quantity tallying against the Delivery order during pick up / collection at any point.
• Perform Loading and unloading either by warehouse personnel or using hand pallet jack by driver or loose loading / unloading of all kinds of packaging etc : palletize / skid / cartons / boxes into the truck or stack on the pallets.
• Ensure all cargo are properly secured.
• Driver ensures DO / goods are delivered in accordance to scheduled timeline
• The driver must notify the controller / supervisor on any issues relating to the delivery.
• Ensuring that the vehicle is kept in good operational readiness condition. Driver to report any defects to controller (normal daily inspection checking on coolant water, battery level, brake functioning, tires pressure, all light is functioning well) to reduce the breakdown of vehicle downtime (daily checklist to be shared).
• Driving in a safe, courteous, and legal manner at all times.
• Able to handle and perform lifting of goods between 1 Kg to 20Kgs carton comfortably.
• Experience and able to drive hand trucks, pallet jacks for loading / unloading of goods from truck to designated area
• Safe driving on the road

Secondary Responsibilities

Qualifications Summary

Experience :

This position requires minimum 2 years relevant experience in logistics or warehousing and must

possess a valid driver’s license- class 4.

Working hours :

Mon to Fri, 8 : 30am to 6pm
