Application Support Engineer - Fixed Income & Risk
Fixed Income & Risk Technology is responsible for building, managing and maintaining systems for Front to back trade processing for the Fixed Income business as well as Risk Management for all asset classes and products, ranging from individual trader’s risks, to risk management across the entire firm.
We are assembling a strong technology team to build and support our next generation in-house risk and analytics tools. This team will provide L2 / L3 support and have full ownership of the production environment for several key business lines (risk, analytics, trading, portfolio visualization, and market data).
Principal Responsibilities
- Monitor and automate application and infrastructure alerts and be able to react quickly
- Ensure system stability and uptime for all tools and application under this team’s management. This includes application and infrastructure / cloud monitoring, troubleshooting and user support
- Identify and develop areas of improvement and be able to accurately assess business risk to help prioritize remediation
- Setup, manage, and support data file downloads and processing
- Administer outstanding issues are handed off to other regions and necessary follow-ups
- Flexible to work over weekends and evening time for changes and meetings
- Become the go-to person for your area of responsibility - Build subject matter expertise
Qualifications / Skills Required
Experience supporting front office trading applications are essentialBasic knowledge of Fixed Income or Commodities products.5+ years professional experience in Python, Shell, and SQLExperience with C# programming is good to haveDevelopment in SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems within Linux, Unix, and / or Windows environmentsKnowledge around DevOps tools, ideally Docker / Kubernetes, Kafka, Maven, and AWSSelf-starter with ability to quickly pick up new concepts and technologies (Public Cloud, Serverless architecture, etc.)Previous experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, OpsGenie, and ServiceNow)
