Position Summary
We are looking for a Trade Lane Development Manager (Asia - Latin America) who is responsible for the oversight and development of the specific trade lanes in and out of the Asia Pacific region. The role is also responsible for conceptualizing and managing marketing strategies as well as sales targets on the respective trade. The role will work closely with the Regional and local Sales & Marketing teams to discuss and evaluate sales opportunities, problems, business observations, customer feedback, etc., and to devise and drive responsive action plans and strategic initiatives that advance the commercial interests of Shipco Transport across the region.
Role and Responsibilities :
Responsible for driving the volumes and profitability of the specific trade through well-articulated and achievable action plans and associated processesIdentify areas of improvement in relation to volumes / profitability.Identify additional areas of growth on new lanes and work with countries to ensure optimal pricing practices that support the healthy and timely establishment of the service / sProvide support to the extended sales team / s in relation to the maintenance and growth of tradelane specific business.Support the extended sales team / s in identifying the most significant opportunities in the pipeline(including participating in the RFQ process).Maintain monthly status reporting to management with volume and income variancesWork closely in the regional Trade Lane development team and share best practices across trades.Preferred Skills
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or related field3+ years' experience in trade lane management or Sales experience in a similar businessExperience in commercial and operational roles in freight management / NVOCC business (Product / Commercial Business Development / Tender Management) is an added advantage.Fluent in both verbal and written English.Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish is highly preferred to support smooth collaboration with LATAM partners.Strong commercial mind-set and good product knowledgeExcellent analytical skills & negotiation experienceAbility to understand, analyse and communicate complex data to stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office
