About the Role :
Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an inspirational Key Stage 2 Lead (and Teacher) to start in August 2026. To provide both strategic and instructional leadership within a specific key stage while maintaining high-quality classroom teaching. The role involves ensuring curriculum continuity, high standards of teaching and learning, and effective assessment practices across the key stage. As a class teacher, the postholder models exemplary classroom practice, fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment, and builds strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. Together, these responsibilities support whole school improvement and the academic and personal development of all pupils within the key stage.
What you will be doing :
To lead and manage the day-to-day operation of Upper Key stage that includes year groups five and six under the supervision of Senior Deputy Head of Prep School.
To support the leadership in delivering the vision for Brighton College Singapore and be a positive, productive and supportive member of the Academic Leadership Team.
To be responsible for the effective performance of all teachers and line-manage teaching assistants in the key stage.
To demonstrate an innovative approach, ensuring the school gains a reputation for providing an outstanding education for its pupils.
To take an active role working with the Marketing and Admissions and the Head of College, when recruiting pupils.
To attend marketing and admissions events as and when required and as reasonably requested.
To develop, and continuously maintain a high standard in the curriculum for all subject areas taught and ensure staff are led in such a way that outstanding standards are maintained in all areas.
To periodically evaluate the effectiveness of the planned curriculum and to ensure an appropriate system of assessment and record keeping is maintained by Form Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
To maintain and develop effective relationships with all current and prospective parents that may involve encouragement of parents to take an active interest in their child's progress and make them feel welcome in the school.
To participate in the school's consultative procedures to ensure an effective communication system and good liaison between the different departments.
To ensure that current parents are kept informed of their child's progress via informal and formal meetings alongside the school's reporting cycle.
To liaise with the School Nurse on all matters relating to illness and injury.
To liaise and work together positively with our local partners – Cognita as and when requested.

Who we are looking for :
Bachelor's degree in any field with PGCE or equivalent.
Possess five years' teaching experience and proven experience as a subject leader.
Ability to build and lead an outstanding teaching team which will work in harmony with the wider school community.
Have knowledge of British National Curriculum requirements at the relevant Key Stages, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students' work.
Proven record of teaching experience, prior experience in independent Prep School will be an added advantage.
A positive team player who works collaboratively and harmoniously with the wider school community.
A warm, engaging and approachable personality with pupils, current and prospective parents.
Evidence of the ability to be creative and inspire enthusiasm for your subjects in both colleagues and students.
An ability to thrive within an environment that staff describe as both invigorating and refreshing.
