Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Role
Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel facilities and equipment. Provide guests and colleagues with a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities
- Conducts regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff requests regarding engineering or maintenance issues.
- Monitor and operate key systems i.e. Fire Alarm System, Building Management System (BMS) and report irregularities.
- Carry out troubleshooting and emergency repairs to minimize downtime and system failures.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Supervise external / internal contractors and vendors during maintenance or repair works.
- Support energy conservation initiatives and sustainability practices in the property.
- Assist in training and guiding junior engineering team members.
- Be on standby duty as rostered, handling urgent & emergency situations efficiently.
Requirements :
Diploma / ITE Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in hotel engineering or a related field.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.Proven hands-on experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with guests and team members.Ability to work independently, under pressure, and respond to emergencies.Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as rostered.Tell employers what skills you have
