The Innovation & Enterprise Division at A

STAR, Singapore is responsible for the commercialization and technology transfer of A
STAR's technologies to external companies that are ready for market adoption. The Innovation & Enterprise division is the external industry facing division of A
STAR and go-to division for all matters related from initial negotiations to post-project services for key accounts. The MedTech / Dx / Digital Health industry cluster is one of nine industry clusters responsible for translational pipeline in the medical device, in-vitro diagnostics and digital health segments.

Job Responsibilities :

Support development of diagnostics and precision medicine strategies according to economic and national agenda, including strengthening linkages with internal research performers and external agencies and industry stakeholders.

To be familiarized with the various technological capabilities within A

STAR that can be applied to either one of the following areas : Medical Technologies, Diagnostics / Precision Medicine or Digital Health.

To evaluate, scope and execute high potential technology development projects through the various funding schemes available to develop projects towards commercialization

To engage with industry and develop key accounts whilst generating licensing pipeline to successfully tech transfer A

STAR's technologies

To communicate regularly and effectively with A

STAR researchers, public sector clinicians and industry to conceptualize and design novel, clinically relevant and commercially viable medical products for clinical and research use.

To work closely with colleagues within Innovation & Enterprise Division e.g. Intellectual Property Management, Venture Creation and across A

STAR to achieve impactful outcomes.

Requirements :

BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, bioinformatics, life sciences or related field

5 years of work experience in business development, product development, field application and / or project management in either precision medicine or diagnostic fields

Possess an understanding of ecosystem players and established network along the device development value chain

Experience in front-facing engagements dealing with vendors, key accounts, stakeholders

Excellent verbal and written communication of concepts, ideas, and processes

Able to work within a small, dynamic team
