We pledge to make Eastspring a place where you can Connect, Grow and Succeed...Reporting to the Head of Procurement and Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), the role will be responsible for providing procurement expertise, support and leadership in governing procurement spend, managing material vendor relationships (at the region) and third-party vendor risks across all Eastspring local business units. The role will also look at driving efficiency and effectiveness of the end-to-end procurement process and managing third party risk from on-boarding to termination of relationship.The role will align procurement, material vendor relationship and risk management strategies with Eastspring Investment's overall business priorities. The role is also responsible for aligning, tailoring and cascading Prudential Group's procurement and third party risk management "TPRM" strategies, policies and procedures to be implemented by the downstream functions and Local Business Units (LBU).

  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following :
  • Lead the team of Procurement professionals in Head Office and all Eastspring entities
  • Lead the transformation of the Procurement Function to drive process efficiency and value creation
  • Develop and keep up to date a comprehensive set of policies and procedures relating to Procurement and Third Party Vendor and Risk Management procedures, Procurement standard operating procedures, Outsourcing Management procedures and related third party policies and procedures, to ensure policy requirements are understood, adhered to and documented while performing vendor selection, contracting and due diligence activities.
  • Establish governance and operating model in LBUs to ensure compliance to Procurement and TPRM policies and procedures.
  • Manage third party vendor relationship to optimise service or product delivery, manage spend, while ensuring that ESI interests are protected
  • Third Party Risk Management
  • Oversee the design and deployment of a Eastspring group wide TPRM framework (including outsourcing governance framework) from onboarding, ongoing monitoring to termination.
  • Oversee the ongoing TPRM program which includes an integrated approach for assessing and mitigating the risk of new and existing third-party suppliers.
  • Ensure that risks associated with Third Party relationships, before and after entering into contracts, are sufficiently identified, assessed, monitored and controlled.
  • Reporting on outsourcing and third party metrics to relevant risk committees, senior management and board of directors.
  • Procurement Management
  • Implement a procurement operating model across Eastspring LBUs with aim to optimise spend and managing risks associated with the engagement of suppliers
  • Partner with business stakeholders to drive category management strategy to optimise supplier spend
  • Develop, implement and / or manage strategic sourcing projects to select and negotiate with vendors in order to ensure optimal supply chain performance, with a focus on quality, service, delivery, risk and cost.
  • Drives ESG agenda and embeds ESG discipline in the supply chain.
  • Conduct comprehensive review of Source to Pay process and led the Source to Pay process redesign efforts
  • Drive full adoption of Source to Pay solution (including upgrading system workflow), working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive awareness of procurement policy and process with internal business users and suppliers
  • EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree, at a minimum
  • Ideally, candidate will have 8 -10 years relevant Procurement Experience, with regional procurement experience
  • Excellent category management experience
  • Excellent Organizational, analytical, time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation skills with strong influencing and persuasive talents
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
  • High integrity and ethics
  • Ability to influencing purchasing decisions and effectively negotiate complex deals
  • Experience using Procure-to-Pay systems, ideally Coupa
