The role involves leading a team of developers in designing, developing, and implementing custom SAP solutions to meet the business requirements of the customer as well as overseeing the entire development lifecycle, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of SAP Custom / WRICEF solution.
Team Leadership : Lead and manage a team of SAP developers, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure efficient and effective execution of development projects. Set clear objectives, assign tasks, and monitor team performance.Solution Design : Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional consultants to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs. Define the overall technical architecture and solution approach for SAP development projects.Development and Customization : Oversee the development of custom SAP solutions, including ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) programming, enhancement frameworks, Integration and custom object development. Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies.Technical Specifications : Review functional requirements and transform them into detailed technical specifications for developers. Clearly define technical requirements, data structures, program logic, and system interfaces.Technical Governance : Establish and enforce technical governance processes, ensuring compliance with SAP development standards, security guidelines, and coding conventions. Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, efficiency, and maintainability of the developed solutions.Integration and Interfaces : Coordinate with integration teams to design and develop interfaces between SAP systems and other enterprise systems or external applications. Ensure seamless data flow and integration across different systems.Testing and Quality Assurance : Support comprehensive testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and resolve issues and ensure high-quality deliverables.Performance Optimization : Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SAP programs and custom developments for better performance and scalability. Implement performance tuning techniques and leverage SAP tools for monitoring and diagnostics.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : Ensure proper documentation of technical designs, specifications, codebase, and development processes. Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization to foster continuous improvement and best practices.Project Management and Collaboration : Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Provide input on project planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.Vendor Management : Liaise with external vendors and consultants, when applicable, to leverage their expertise and manage outsourced development activities.Upgrade / Conversion / Migration Projects :
The responsibility is to oversee the entire development lifecycle, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of SAP Custom remediation / new FIT GAP solution.
Team Leadership : Lead and manage a team of SAP developers, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure efficient and effective execution of development projects. Set clear objectives, assign tasks, and monitor team performance.Solution readiness : Collaborate with functional consultants to understand readiness check, technical compatability and translate them into technical designs.Custom code remediation : Oversee the custom remediation of impacted ABAP objects including ABAP objects, enhancement frameworks, Integration, web services and workflow objects. Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies.Fit GAP related Technical specifications : Review Ft GAP requirements and transform them into detailed technical specifications for developers. Clearly define technical requirements, data structures, program logic, and system interfaces.Technical Governance : Establish and enforce technical governance processes, ensuring compliance with SAP development standards, security guidelines, and coding conventions. Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, efficiency, and maintainability of the developed solutions.Testing and Quality Assurance : Support comprehensive testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and resolve issues and ensure high-quality deliverables.1. Hands-on SAP Suite on HANA (SoH) or S / 4HANA, or at least an SAP Upgrade experience i.e. Unicode conversion, SPAU / SPDD, ABAP support on Basis upgrades or Functional testing, CDS views etc,.
2. Have ABAP Object Oriented Programming (OOP) with NW 7.5 features
3. Knowledge about SAP product standards, cloud qualities, coding guidelines in the development environment
4. Good knowledge on new SAP technologies such as Fiori / SAPUI5, BTP, ABAP on HANA, CDS, ODATA, AMDP
5. Experience of working in a S / 4 HANA Greenfield or system Conversion projects will be an added advantage
