Role Overview
We are seeking a Purchasing Manager – IC Components to lead strategic sourcing and procurement of integrated circuit (IC) components. The role involves managing a small team, building supplier relationships, and overseeing end-to-end purchasing to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement of IC components, managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
- Mentor and oversee a team of 2 buyers, with potential to expand.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize cost, quality, and supply reliability.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance; mitigate risks and identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and align procurement strategies.
- Manage budgets, purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
- Participate in the commission / bonus scheme, including overriding commission on team purchases.
Requirements / Candidate Profile
Experience : 5–10+ years in procurement, preferably in IC / electronics components.Experience leading and mentoring a small team.Supplier negotiation, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, stakeholder management.Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.Familiarity with electronics market trends, ERP systems, and regional suppliers is a plus.Reg.
