Job Purpose
The Resident Engagement Officer / Executive plays a vital role in cultivating a supportive, inclusive, and vibrant living environment for dormitory residents. This role involves planning and executing engagement initiatives, fostering community partnerships, and promoting resident well-being through recreational, educational, and social programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and implement resident engagement programmes and recreational activities (e.g. festive events, sports tournaments, wellness campaigns).
Lead logistics planning and on-ground coordination of events and activities.
Establish and manage partnerships with NGOs, community organisations, and vendors to bring in programmes and support services.
Promote positive social behaviour among residents and assist in conflict resolution where necessary.
Manage communication and publicity of engagement initiatives through posters, social media, and internal dormitory channels.
Monitor the impact and effectiveness of activities and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, budget utilization, resident feedback, and post-event reporting.
Support dormitory daily operations and collaborate with other departments as needed.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Resident Engagement Manager or Site Lead.
Requirements
For Executive Role : Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Hospitality, Events Management, Facility Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
For Officer Role : Candidates without formal academic qualifications may still be considered if they possess relevant hands-on experience in community engagement, events planning, or dormitory operations.
1–2 years of relevant experience working with diverse communities, particularly migrant worker populations, is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents.
Independent, proactive, and passionate about creating meaningful and inclusive experiences.
Willingness to work during weekends or public holidays.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of event budgeting is a plus.
Fire Safety Manager (FSM) certified is an added advantage
This role involves engaging with a diverse community, including Mandarin-speaking residents. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is essential to effectively communicate and provide support across our resident population.
