About This Role
The Project Interface Manager is responsible for coordinating communication, alignment and integration between all internal and external stakeholders across the project lifecycle. The role ensures that dependencies, information exchange, and responsibilities between engineering teams, subcontractors, vendors and clients are well managed to prevent delays, scope conflicts, and rework.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify, map and monitor all project interfaces involving internal teams, external contractors, vendors and client representatives.
- Establish interface management procedures, communication protocols and alignment mechanisms between all parties involved.
- Facilitate interface meetings, workshops and coordination sessions to ensure consistent and accurate information flow.
- Track technical, schedule and execution dependencies across project disciplines to prevent bottlenecks and delays.
- Lead resolution of interface-related issues, disputes or conflicting priorities between stakeholders.
- Maintain the Interface Register, including documentation updates, status reports and risk tracking.
- Coordinate integrated planning to align milestones, technical deliverables and handover requirements.
- Monitor adherence to interface agreements, workflows and KPIs, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Provide interface status reporting to senior project leadership and support decision-making on cross-team matters.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; professional engineering qualifications are an advantage.Minimum 20 years of experience in offshore or marine engineering project management, including at least 5 years on international projects.Strong understanding of offshore project execution, marine engineering workflows and multi-contractor environments.Experience in managing technical, schedule and operational interfaces on large-scale EPC / offshore projects.Proficient in written and spoken English for formal reporting and stakeholder communication.Strong stakeholder management, conflict resolution and cross-discipline coordination skills.Ability to work independently in a multicultural, fast-paced project environment and manage multiple priorities.Willingness to travel to vendor facilities, fabrication yards or construction sites when required.
