Your new role

We are seeking a high-conviction, analytically driven India Analyst with deep expertise in equity investing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of generating alpha through fundamental research, thematic idea generation, and disciplined risk management across Indian public equities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing investment team with a focus on bottom-up stock picking and macro-aware portfolio construction.

• Generate differentiated long and short investment ideas across Indian equities, with a focus on alpha generation and risk-adjusted returns
• Conduct deep fundamental research including financial modelling, channel checks, management meetings, and valuation analysis
• Monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and sector-specific developments to inform portfolio positioning and risk management
• Build and maintain coverage across core sectors (, financials, consumers, industrials, tech), with flexibility to pivot based on opportunity set
• Sector specialism in consumers is an advantage
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to refine investment theses, position sizing, and timing

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; CFA preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in equity research, hedge funds with a focus on Indian equities
• Demonstrated success in generating alpha through long only and long/short strategies
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and forensic accounting skills
• Deep understanding of India’s regulatory, political, and corporate governance landscape
• High intellectual curiosity, independent thinking, and a data-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
