The Challenges
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Develop and execute a global strategic sourcing strategy for solar cells, ensuring cost optimization, quality, and supply chain stability.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with key solar cell suppliers (SEA & China) to secure reliable, cost-effective, and compliant sources.
- Manage and optimize relationships with current suppliers while developing new partnerships for future growth and cost reduction.
- Establish alternative suppliers to mitigate risks and enhance supply chain resilience.
- Formulate and execute annual cost reduction programs while ensuring supply continuity and quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, NPI teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to guide product design decisions based on the latest solar cell advancements.Collaborate with finance teams to quantify pricing impacts and assess the economic feasibility of sourcing strategies.Industry Expertise & Compliance
Stay ahead of solar industry trends, regulations, and policies (including U.S. laws and anti-dumping regulations) that impact sourcing decisions.Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, import / export laws, and industry standards.Provide strategic business insights on sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and cost structures.Efficiency & Process Optimization
Implement strategies to increase efficiencies with existing suppliers while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing and supply chain processes.Drive supplier development initiatives to ensure a mature and stabilized supply chain with optimized cost structures.Support internal processes such as SLT forecasting, production planning, and risk mitigation strategies. What It Takes
