Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

§ To plan and implement the curriculum under the guidance of the Centre Supervisor to ensure a well-run, purposeful, engaging and child-centred programme responsive to children’s needs and aligned to the principles spelt out in the standard ECE Framework.

§ Create a secure and quality learning environment for children through fostering nurturing, trustful, respectful and meaningful relationships with them.

§ Actively engages in Centre initiatives to support its collaborative efforts with the community.

§ Contribute one’s talents and professional expertise towards the centre’s initiatives, educational programmes and projects.

§ Establish good relationships with parents as partners in care and education.

§ Keep abreast of the latest educational development and to continually upgrade one’s skills and knowledge.

§ Be involved in simple action research projects.

§ Role-model professionalism in appearance, speech and action.

§ Shall achieve at least 25 hours of CPD, including courses and other CPD activities, in the calendar year.

Requirements

Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (DECCE-T or CECCCE) or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A team player

Experience in the Early Childhood is an added advantage
