Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Source for new products.
  • Responsible for product categories allocation.
  • Plan merchandise assortment considering category mix and range planning.
  • Analyse product pricing strategies and their impact on sales and margins.
  • Drive Gross Margin Improvements through negotiations with supplier.
  • Liaise with suppliers on promotional activities and prompt delivery of stocks.
  • Develop strategies to manage slow-moving products and optimize sell-through rates.
  • Develop accurate sales and profit forecasts, and effectively manage budgets to support strategic business objectives.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of best-selling items to meet customer demand.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively by tracking stock movement, identifying potential stockouts, and optimizing inventory turnover.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders across different departments to execute the promotion strategies in alignment with the product launches.
  • Review and analyze sales reports to identify trends, identify areas for improvement, and develop and recommend strategic initiatives to enhance sales performance.
  • Conduct market research to stay current with the market trend and competitor strategies.
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure that Company's merchandising standards are met.
  • Plan and execute store promotions for renovations, openings, and closures, managing Back to School (BTS) orders for stores, and supporting offsite events, new store setups to ensure smooth retail operations.
  • Assist in Events and Campaigns.
  • Assist with merchandising related administrative duties.
  • Perform any related duties assigned by the Reporting Officer as it deems fit.

Requirement

  • Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or relevant fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in similar capacity and with proven track record of category management in retail.
  • Knowledge of SAP will be added advantage.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
