Roles & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Set up welding machines and select appropriate materials and methods (MIG, TIG, arc, gas welding, etc.).
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions according to project requirements.
• Inspect materials, structures, and welds to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Perform finishing tasks such as grinding, polishing, and smoothing welds.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Follow workplace safety rules and wear appropriate protective gear (helmet, gloves, apron, etc.).
• Collaborate with team members, fabricators, and supervisors to complete assigned projects on time.
• Repair and maintain metal structures, machinery parts, or tools as required.
• Record work completed and report defects or irregularities to supervisors.
