Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

Responsible for performing analysis, audit, design, and optimization of telecom networks based on technical knowledge. The Network Engineer role is applicable in areas of RAN, Transport, Core, OM and Services Networks. The Network Engineer may be engaged in the whole process from early engagement, pre-sales of services and networks to service delivery and acceptance.

The role is focused on :

1) Based on deep technical understanding and ability to extract insight from e.g. network data to deliver high quality network design, audit and optimization services according to client requirements and customer needs and specifications.

2) Based on advanced technical network analysis, supports pre-sales org, e.g. Solution Architects, with credible business opportunities for services, products and SW sales.

3) Be able to work with new analytics solutions related to automation and ML tools.

4) Work independently and provide quality deliverables per project or service scope.

5) Drive technology innovation aiming at identifying project efficiencies, new solutions and services.

6) Must be responsible for the financial and commercial as well as environment, health and safety (EHS) performance of delivered NDO services.

7) Customer focus and consulting.

  • Responsible to analyse, prepare, implement and verify the configuration and integration of Radio Access Network (RAN).
  • The main job responsibilities include executing change requests, performing upgrades and Deliver radio network design service.
  • Detail activities include radio solution development, radio network planning, coverage and capacity dimensioning to meet customer objectives and performance targets.
  • Perform site survey, radio measurement and testing on site.
  • Produce detail RF design and survey report. This includes macro, small cells and in-building system.
  • Deliver improvement services. Include radio network performance analysis, provide recommendation and solutions to improve customer network performance.
  • Perform audit, parameter consistency and health check.
  • Perform radio hardware and software performance verification and user acceptance test in lab and live network environment.
  • Drive technical issues investigation and network performance improvement.
  • Drive KPI acceptance in the project delivery.
  • Identify gaps and issues in existing processes and drive improvements.
  • Leading other RF / Network Engineers in the project delivery and acceptance.

Skills / Requirement :

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer / electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in Radio Network Design & Optimization.
  • Strong technical knowledge in 3G, 4G & 5G. Experienced in dealing with equipment, radio network features, and parameters.
  • Hands on skills in network design and optimization tools, eg, IBWAVE, Mentum Planet, TEMS, R&S, NEMO, Geolocation platforms.
  • Possession of outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as having strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated individual, with phenomenal confidence working with diverse partner groups.
  • Result oriented with focus on customer satisfaction and project delivery. Strong customer focus and high concern for quality is required.
