Safety Officer / Safety Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer / Safety Coordinator to join our team for ongoing and upcoming civil infrastructure projects in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workplace safety and health (WSH) practices, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing safety on large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, or utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and procedures in compliance with Singapore’s regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox meetings, and awareness programs for site personnel.
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure safety standards are upheld.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety records, permits, and incident logs.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.WSH Coordinator certification recognized by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.Minimum 5 years of experience in safety management within civil infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of Singapore’s WSH Act, Code of Practices, and relevant regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LTA, PUB, or other government infrastructure projects, in particular Roads, Highways, Cycling Paths would be advantageous.Familiarity with ISO 45001 or other safety management systems.Additional certifications such as Construction Safety Supervisor (CSS) or Risk Management Champion (RMC) are advantageous.What We Offer
