Assistant Manager Duties :
- Assist in daily gym operations including budget management, enhancing customer service, and coordinating with clients, employees and vendors.
- Master and become an expert in the Mindbody software.
- Oversee staff training procedures and performance. Oversee onboarding and handle HR duties as necessary. Act as a policy guide for employees, providing clarity on company rules and procedures. Develop a thorough understanding of relevant labour laws to make informed decisions regarding staff and operational issues.
- Ensure effective internal communication and keep good records of communication. Maintain open lines of communication with Senior Management, providing updates and discussing important issues.
- Establish and uphold efficient operational systems, document SOPs and procedures.
- Actively contribute to the development of business strategies and growth plans of the gym.
- Foster a positive and motivating workplace environment.
- Align personal efforts with company goals and provide regular progress updates.
- Utilise common sense and a deep understanding of gym policies to resolve conflicts effectively. Manage challenging customer and employee situations and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
