Roles & Responsibilities

Core Purpose

To design, manage, and deliver creative yet practical interior solutions for commercial and residential projects, while taking full ownership of client-facing responsibilities and ensuring project outcomes meet OM Decor’s standards.

Responsibilities

1. Design & Conceptualization

Develop design concepts, space planning, mood boards, and 3D visuals.

Propose materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes within budget.

Revise and refine designs based on client feedback.

2. Client Engagement

Attend and lead client meetings from concept to handover.

Present design proposals confidently and explain decisions clearly.

Manage client expectations on budget, timeline, and scope.

3. Project Coordination

Work closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure design intent is carried out.

Conduct regular site visits, highlight discrepancies, and propose solutions.

Liaise with consultants (M&E, architects, engineers) where required.

4. Procurement & Documentation

Source and recommend suppliers / materials with cost comparisons.

Ensure all design documents and drawings are accurate and up to date.

Minimal design-related reworks or variations post sign-off.

Timely delivery of all drawings, documents, and site updates.

Experience & Skills

Diploma / Degree in Interior Design or related field.

2–5 years relevant experience (commercial preferred).

Strong in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Fluency in English (Mandarin bonus for suppliers / clients).
