THE ROLE
The position is in the corporate legal team for Korn Ferry, a global organizational consulting firm. This position will report to the Associate General Counsel, APAC and can expect close guidance from the global AGC, Co-Chief of Privacy. The position is primarily focused on commercial contract review, data privacy protection and negotiation.
Primary responsibilities include :
- Review and negotiate commercial client contracts
- Interface with internal clients to ensure client contracts reflect agreed business terms and are consistent with company policies and approved legal terms and conditions
- Advise Korn Ferry and its stakeholders on data privacy-related matters including compliance with data protection frameworks such as PIPL and other applicable laws and regulations in the APAC countries
- Drive data privacy projects and initiatives in APAC
- Coordinate requirements from clients in relation to data privacy with internal Privacy, Security and Technology Operations teams
- Perform privacy impact assessments and develop a deep understanding of how data is processed by Korn Ferry’s products and technology
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably including at least 2 years of privacy experience. The ideal candidate will have :
